Sanctuary Church Of Ft. Lauderdale Launches Ambitious Food and Clothing Drive

The Sanctuary Church of Ft. Lauderdale, in conjunction with Director and Founder of Harbour House Missions, Dr. Arthur Carl Kanev, is hosting the “Lighten Your Load Brothers and Sisters” drive to unite donors of clothing and non-perishable food items with worthy recipients within Broward Country, Florida.

The ambitious drive plans to collect non-perishable food and clean clothing distribute to the homeless and other needy populations. The facility at 1400 N. Federal Highway in Ft. Lauderdale will act as a collection and redistribution center for deserving churches, homeless shelters, outreach centers, soup kitchens and food sharing providers. Some items will also be distributed directly to homeless and needy individuals on the streets of Broward Country.

Beginning April 15, 2016, Dr. Kanev and a devoted group of volunteers will arrange for the pick-up of large quantities of non-perishable food items and clothing, both used and new, anywhere within Broward County, Florida. They will also arrange to accept deliveries  at the redistribution center located at the Sanctuary Church in Ft. Lauderdale.

Some of the institutions are: Love Thy Neighbor/Chef Arnold Abbot and Chef Stanley; Broward Outreach Center/Pompano Beach/Nina; St. Laurence Chapel Homeless Day Shelter/Cathy Bass; All Saints Catholic Church and Soup Kitchen/Father Bob Caudill; The Agape Café of St. Martins Episcopal Church/Ken Steel; Parish of Saints Francis and Claire/Pery Canan; Unity Church/ Marka; and the Second Presbyterian Church of Ft. Lauderdale/Reverend Dwayne Black.
