By Jose Lambiet, GossipExtra.com, for SouthFloridaReporter.com, Aug 20, 2015 – RIVIERA BEACH — Riviera Beach Police Chief Clarence Williams is resisting calls for his agency to buy a new cellphone for disabled Iraq and Afghanistan veteran Isiah James after one of Williams’ men knocked the phone out of James’ hands and broke it during an argument.
Gossip Extra first told you last week about the incident captured on James’ cellphone video.
James, whose leg was injured in an explosion during one of his tours of duty, parked in a spot for the handicapped at Walgreen’s on Blue Heron Boulevard when he was accosted by on-duty RBPD Sgt. Gary Wilson.
Wilson told him he wasn’t handicapped enough to park there, despite the fact that James has a legit blue tag on his dashboard.
While the men were having a heated verbal exchange, Wilson lurched for James and knocked down James’ $1,000-iPhone as James filmed.
