Wednesday features a nice mix of sun and clouds in the East Coast metro area and sunny skies along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.  A stray shower is also possible in the Keys.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Wednesday’s highs will be mainly in the low-80s on the East Coast, near 80 degrees along the Gulf Coast, and in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Thursday will bring a cool morning, with lows in the low- to mid-60s on the mainland.  The day will be mostly sunny across the East Coast metro area and the Keys, while the Gulf Coast will see plenty of sun and maybe a cloud here and there.  Thursday’s highs will be in the low 80s on the mainland and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Friday will feature a milder morning, with lows in the mid to upper-60s on the mainland.  Then look for sunny skies on the mainland and a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  Friday’s highs will be mainly in the low-80s.

Saturday will see mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures on the mainland.  The East Coast metro area will also see a gusty breeze.  The Keys will see sunny skies.  Saturday’s highs will be mainly in the mid-80s on the East Coast and in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Sunday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun, clouds, showers, and a few storms in spots.  Highs on Sunday will be mostly in the mid-80s across the East Coast metro area, near 80 degrees along the Gulf Coast, and in the Keys.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
