Plenty of Showers and a Few Storms

Monday features partly sunny skies with plenty of showers in the East Coast metro area and the Keys.  The Gulf Coast will see sun and some storms in the morning, but showers will move in during the afternoon and evening.  Expect a moderate risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Highs on Monday will be in the upper 80s right at the Atlantic coast, near 90 degrees elsewhere in the East Coast metro area and along the Gulf Coast, and mostly in the mid-80s in the Keys.

Tuesday will bring clouds and showers to the East Coast metro area and the Keys, while the Gulf Coast will see mostly sunny skies alternating with morning storms and afternoon showers.  Tuesday’s highs will be near 90 degrees on the mainland and mostly in the mid-80s in the Keys.

Wednesday will feature plenty of clouds and showers in the East Coast metro area and the Keys.  Look for good sun alternating with periods of showers along the Gulf Coast.  Wednesday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.

Thursday will be another day of clouds with lots of showers in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny with some storms in the morning and showers in the afternoon, while the Keys will see a mix of sun and clouds.  Thursday’s highs will be near 90 degrees on the mainland and in the upper 80s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Friday’s forecast calls for a summertime mix of sun, clouds, showers, and storms.  Highs on Friday will be in the low 90s on the mainland and in the upper 80s in the Keys.

In the tropics, the low that’s come ashore in northeastern Mexico is bringing heavy rain to the region, including parts of Texas.  Elsewhere, the tropical Atlantic is quiet.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
