Saturday features a nice mix of sun and clouds on the mainland.  The Keys will see lots of sun and maybe a cloud at times.  Saturday’s highs will be mainly in the mid-80s on the mainland and in the low-80s in the Keys.

Sunday will bring morning lows mainly in the upper 60s on the mainland, followed by some sun and more clouds on the mainland and sunny skies in the Keys. Sunday’s highs will be mainly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Monday will feature plenty of clouds and showers across South Florida as a front approaches. Look for a gusty breeze along the Gulf coast.  Monday’s highs will be near 80 degrees on the mainland and in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Tuesday morning lows will be mainly in the low to mid-60s.  The day will be partly sunny on the mainland and on the cloudy side (with a shower in spots) in the Keys.  Tuesday’s highs will be mainly in the upper-70s.

Faith Based Events

Wednesday’s forecast calls for another cool morning and more clouds than sun.  Look for periods of showers in the Keys.  Highs on Wednesday will be mainly in the upper-70s in the East Coast metro area and in the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
