One person was killed and two were injured in a shooting at a Dallas Immigration Customs and Enforcement facility Wednesday morning, authorities said. The shooter also died.

The FBI is investigating the incident as an “act of targeted violence,” said R. Joseph Rothrock, the head of the agency’s Dallas field office, at a news conference Wednesday. Rounds found near the shooter contained “messages that are anti-ICE in nature,” he added.

Dallas police responded at around 6:40 a.m. after a shooter opened fire on a government building from an adjacent building, according to Dallas Police Department spokesperson Jonathan Maner. The two injured were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, and the suspect is dead, Maner said.
