Mostly Sunny Start, Then Showers and Storms

Sunday features mostly sunny skies during the morning and part of the afternoon, but some showers and a few storms will develop later in the day and last into the nighttime hours.  Look for breezy conditions during the evening along the Gulf Coast.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches at least through Sunday evening.  Highs on Sunday will be in the low 80s.

Monday morning’s lows will be in the 60s.  The day will be breezy with a mix of sun and clouds as we feel the effects of a front.  Monday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-70s.

Tuesday will start with lows ranging from the mid-50s to the low-60s.  Then look for lots of clouds and a cool and brisk breeze.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the mid-70s.

Wednesday will feature a strong breeze and plenty of clouds.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid-70s.

Faith Based Events

Thursday’s forecast calls for windy conditions and lots of clouds.  Look for periods of showers and storms, especially in the east coast metro area.  Highs on Thursday will be in the mid-70s

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
