Monday features sun, clouds, and maybe a morning storm in the East Coast metro area, but look for more showers and storms in the afternoon. The Gulf Coast will be sunny with a few afternoon showers and storms in spots. The Keys will be mostly sunny with a few showers in spots. Highs on Monday will be in the upper 80s right at the coasts and in the Keys and near 90 degrees elsewhere in South Florida.
Tuesday will bring mostly sunny skies and mainly afternoon showers and storms on the mainland, while the Keys will see more clouds than sun and periods of showers. Tuesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and in the Keys and near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast.
Wednesday will feature clouds, showers, and storms on the mainland. Look for clouds and showers in the Keys. Heavy rain and localized flooding are possible in spots. Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.
Thursday will be another day of clouds, showers, and storms around South Florida. Heavy rain and localized flooding are possible. Thursday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
Friday’s forecast calls for more clouds than sun and periods of showers and storms throughout the area. Highs on Friday will be in the upper 80s.
In the tropics, we continue to watch the wave in the eastern Atlantic, which has a medium chance of becoming a depression this week. Computer models indicate this feature could turn to the northwest well away from land, but we’ll keep an eye on it.
