So, where did the Grammy-winning singer ultimately choose to debut her new album, “El Dorado,” last month?  It was The Temple House on Miami Beach, of course.

Shakira and her team at Jay Z’s Roc Nation selected the landmark venue for its exclusivity, acoustics and, of course, reputation. For close to three hours, 150 VIP guests, industry titans, friends, family and media were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime private concert by Shakira.

Later in the evening, after feasting on Colombian delicacies from Thierry’s Catering, the awe-struck guests were in for another treat: Shakira and Prince Royce took to the stage and sang a duet (Déjà vu – Royce’s 15th number one song on the Tropical Songs Airplay chart) that dazzled the audience. And, as if that wasn’t enough, there was still yet another surprise when the singer and music superstar, Nicky Jam joined Shakira for another duet (“Perro Fiel”).

Shakira together with her design and event team utilized the dramatic 360-degree projection mapping system at The Temple House, which was used a backdrop and featured stunning visuals provided exclusively by United Projection.

According to Daniel Davidson, owner and creator of The Temple House, his event team is still humming her songs. “We adore Shakira as a singer, a woman and a visionary. She is charming, personable, awe-inspiring and energizing. There is no one else like her and we are honored that she chose The Temple House as the location for her exclusive record debut.”

El Dorado is the eleventh studio album by Shakira and was released on 26 May 2017, by Sony Music Latin.

Known worldwide for its spectacular and unique design, The Temple House is an award-winning 15,000-square-foot exclusive private venue in the heart of Miami Beach. Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Nikki Minaj, Dwayne Wade, One Direction, Michael Jordan, Enrique Iglesias, Jay Z, The Kardashian Family, Andy Cohen, P. Diddy, Marc Anthony and Donna Karan are just some of the iconic celebrities who have hosted or been the star power behind the exclusive private events at South Beach’s iconic property The Temple House.
