Friday features a mild morning in South Florida.  Look for sunny skies on the mainland and good sun with a few clouds at times in the Keys.  Friday’s highs will be in the low-80s right at the Atlantic coast and in the Keys, while the rest of the mainland will reach the mid-80s.

Saturday will bring a seasonably mild morning and mostly sunny skies to the mainland. The Keys will see lots of sun and some clouds.  Saturday’s highs will be mainly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and near 80 degrees along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Sunday will feature good sun, some clouds, and a few afternoon showers and storms in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will see some sun, more clouds, and periods of showers.  The Keys will see mostly sunny skies with maybe a stray shower.  Sunday’s highs will be in the mid-80s on the East Coast and in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Monday will see lots of clouds and some showers on a gusty breeze on the mainland.  Look for clouds and showers in the Keys.  Monday’s highs will be in the low-80s on the East Coast, the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast, and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Tuesday’s forecast calls for a cool morning, with lows in the upper-50s to mid-60s on the mainland, followed by a mix of sun and clouds on the mainland and lots of clouds with some showers in the Keys.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid-70s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the low-70s along the Gulf Coast.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
