It’s An “S” Of A Weekend – Sun, Showers And Storms

South Florida will see typical summertime sun, showers, and storms on Friday.  The day features a mix of sun and clouds, with some passing east coast showers in the morning and mostly afternoon showers and storms along the Gulf coast and in the interior.  Highs on Friday will be in the low 90s — but it will feel more like the triple digits along the Gulf coast and in the interior.

Saturday will bring sun, clouds, and mostly afternoon showers and storms.  Saturday’s highs will be in the low 90s.

The western part South Florida will see quite widespread afternoon showers and storms on Sunday, while the east coast metro area will see a mix of sun, clouds, and quick showers.  Sunday’s highs will be in the low 90s.

Look for sun, clouds, showers, and some afternoon storms on Monday.  Monday’s highs will be in the low 90s.

Faith Based Events

Tuesday will feature more of the same — a mix of sun and clouds with periods of showers and storms.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the low 90s.

The tropical Atlantic is quiet right now.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
