Tuesday features lots of sun and a few afternoon showers and storms on the mainland.  Look for good sun and a few clouds in the Keys.  Highs on Tuesday will be mostly in the low 90s on the mainland, but a few suburban locations will reach the mid 90s.  Highs in the Keys will be near 90 degrees — but it will feel about 10 degrees hotter around South Florida, so stay hydrated and out of the sun.

Wednesday will bring hot sun and a few showers and storms on the mainland, while the Keys will see mostly sunny skies again.  Wednesday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 90s in the east coast metro area, in the low 90s along the Gulf coast, and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

Thursday will feature another sunny day with a few afternoon showers and storms in spots on the mainland.  Look for some sun, more clouds, and periods of showers and storms in the Keys.  Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 90s on the mainland and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

Friday will see plenty of sun, a few clouds, and some showers and storms in spots on the mainland.  The Keys will see mostly sunny skies.  Friday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 90s on the mainland and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Saturday’s forecast calls for an early August mix of sun, showers, and storms.  Highs on Saturday will be mostly in the mid 90s in the east coast metro area, in the low 90s along the Gulf coast, and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

It’s quiet in the tropical Atlantic right now.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
