Wednesday features hot sun and mainly afternoon showers and storms in the East Coast metro area and the Keys, while the Gulf Coast will be sunny in the morning with showers and storms popping up in the afternoon.  Highs on Wednesday will be mostly in the low 90s — but it will feel about 10 degrees hotter, so stay hydrated and out of the sun.

Thursday will bring a mix of sun and storms in the morning and plenty of showers in the afternoon.  Thursday’s highs will be in the low 90s on the mainland and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

Friday will feature sun and storms in the morning and lots of showers in the afternoon and early evening.  Friday’s highs will be in the low 90s.

Faith Based Events

Saturday will be another day of hot sun, a few morning storms in spots, and plenty of afternoon and early evening showers on the mainland.  Look for clouds and showers in the Keys.  Saturday’s highs will be in the low 90s.

Sunday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun, clouds, showers, and storms.  Highs on Sunday will be in the low 90s on the mainland and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

The tropical Atlantic is quiet right now.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
