Hot Sun Again

Monday features lots of hot sun and a cloud or two at times.  Be sure to stay hydrated and out of the sun — not just on Monday but for the next several days.  Highs on Monday will be mostly in the low-90s in the east coast metro area — although a few suburban locations will reach the mid-90s.  Look for highs near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast and in the upper-80s in the Keys.

Tuesday will bring sunny skies and sizzling heat.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the low-90s right at the Atlantic and Gulf coasts and in the mid-90s elsewhere on the mainland.  Look for highs in the sticky upper-80s in the Keys.

Wednesday will feature lots of sun and extreme heat. Highs will be in the mid-90s in the East Coast metro area, in the low-90s along the Gulf Coast, and near 90 degrees in the Keys.

Thursday will see a weak front move in, so look for plenty of sun, some clouds, and showers on a gusty breeze. Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-90s in the East Coast metro area and in the upper-80s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Friday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun and clouds.  Highs on Friday will be in the low-90s in the East Coast metro area and the upper-80s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
