Monday features a seasonably cool morning.  Then look for good sun and some clouds in the East Coast metro area and sunny skies along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.  Monday’s highs will be in the upper-70s along the coast and in the Keys, while the rest of South Florida will reach the low-80s.

Tuesday will bring morning lows in the low to mid-60s on the mainland.  The day will be sunny in South Florida.  Tuesday’s highs will be near 80 degrees in the East Coast metro area and in the upper 70s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Wednesday will feature morning lows in the low to mid 60s on the mainland, followed by lots of sun on the mainland and a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  Wednesday’s highs will be mainly in the low 80s in the East Coast metro area and in the upper 70s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Thursday will start with seasonable morning lows again.  Look for sunny skies throughout South Florida.  Thursday’s highs will be in the low-80s on the mainland and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Friday’s forecast calls for a mild January morning, with lows on the mainland in the mid to upper-60s.  Then we’ll see lots of sun on the mainland and good sun with a few clouds in the Keys.  Highs on Friday will be in the low-80s on the mainland and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
