Wednesday features a mild morning and good sun with a few clouds around South Florida.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents is in place at the Atlantic beaches through Thursday evening. Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper-70s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast.

Thursday will bring morning lows in the mid to upper-60s on the mainland, followed by mostly sunny skies with a few afternoon showers.  Look for clouds, showers, and some storms in the Keys.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents will continue at the Atlantic beaches.  Thursday’s highs will be mainly in the low 80s.

Friday will feature more clouds than sun on the mainland and a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  Friday’s highs will be mainly in the mid-80s on the East Coast, in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast, and in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Saturday will begin with a mild morning, and the day will be mostly sunny throughout South Florida.  Saturday’s highs will be mainly in the low-80s on the mainland and in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Sunday’s forecast calls for another pleasant December day with plenty of sun and a few clouds.  Highs on Sunday will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area, the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast, and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
