Farm Share Prepares For Hurricane Milton (Video)

As Hurricane Milton approached, Farm Share has been working tirelessly to provide the anticipated assistance to the residents of Florida. On Wednesday, two Farm Share trucks arrived at the Miami-Dade Emergency Operations Center, filled with emergency meal kits and water to be distributed to those in need.

Officials from the Miami-Dade County government were on hand and included Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and the Board of County Commissioners.

Farm Share, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger, has been preparing for Hurricane Milton’s landfall by packing and delivering humanitarian supplies directly to Floridians. The organization has been working around the clock to ensure that those affected by the hurricane have access to essential items.

Farm Share’s mission to provide food and resources to those in need has become even more critical in the face of natural disasters like Hurricane Milton. The organization continues to work diligently to support the community and encourages others to join in their efforts by donating or volunteering.

Faith Based Events

Rabbi Yossi Harlig of Chabad of Kendall/Pinecrest visited the Center to bless the trucks and offer a prayer of safety for the Miami Dade Task Force as well as for the entire state of Florida. The event was a powerful display of unity and support for the brave individuals who put their lives on the line to protect and serve their community.

In his prayer, Rabbi Harlig asked for protection and strength for the Miami Dade Task Force One. He also prayed for the safety and well-being of all the residents of Florida, especially during the ongoing hurricane season. The event was a reminder of the importance of coming together as a community and supporting those who work tirelessly to keep us safe.

“As we continue to face challenges and uncertainties, let us remember the importance of coming together and supporting one another,” Harlig said.

Farm Share remains committed to supporting the residents of the state and providing the necessary resources to weather the storm. The organization’s dedication to helping those in need is a testament to the spirit of community and resilience in the face of adversity.
