In an annual search for “Top 100 Cleanest Streets in America,” there was only one street and one city in Florida that made the list—East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
Waste Removal USA surveyed 3000 travelers to determine which towns and cities in the United States have the cleanest streets. The survey was conducted to bring attention to the importance of keeping our streets clean and to recognize cities and towns that are doing an exceptional job.
Fort Lauderdale Is the Only Florida City On National List
The survey asked travelers to rate the cleanliness of streets in various cities and towns across the country. East Las Olas Boulevard stood out among the rest, making it the only street in Florida to make the list.
This recognition is a testament to the efforts of the city of Fort Lauderdale in maintaining a clean and beautiful environment for its residents and visitors. According to the survey, “America’s towns and cities vary widely in character, culture, and charm, but one common thread among the top 100 towns with the most pristine streets is their commitment to cleanliness.”
Las Olas Boulevard Named One of The Cleanest Streets In The US
Las Olas Boulevard is a major pedestrian-friendly east-west thoroughfare in downtown Fort Lauderdale that runs 2.5 miles from the Central Business District to A1A in Fort Lauderdale Beach. The name “Las Olas” means “The Waves” in Spanish.
