The Butterflies & Bridges Gala will take place on September 28, 2024, and will honor individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the field of recovery support services. The gala will take place at the Charles F. Dodge Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 6 PM to 11 PM. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting SFWN’s crucial programs and initiatives.
Honoring Individuals and Organizations Who Have Made Significant Contributions To The Field Of Recovery Support
The honorees include community leaders, volunteers, and advocates who have played a significant role in SFWN’s success and impact.
The Gala Keynote Speaker is Haner Hernández, Ph.D., CPS, CADCII, LADCI, a nationally renowned person in long-term recovery from addiction committed to eliminating health disparities by working at the national, state, and local levels. His powerful message of hope and resilience has inspired countless individuals to seek help and support for their mental health. SFWN is honored to have Dr. Hernández as the keynote speaker for this special event.

SFWN has touched thousands of lives, offering hope, help and healing. This gala event promises to be an unforgettable occasion, highlighting a decade of memories, impact, and unwavering commitment to building a healthier, more resilient South Florida.

The Butterflies & Bridges Gala will feature a reception, multi-course dinner, silent auction, entertainment and inspiring stories from individuals whose lives have been positively impacted by the services of South Florida Wellness Network Inc. Trina Robinson, NBC 6 News Anchor will be the mistress of ceremonies for the evening.
Just within the past year, SFWN has provided services to more than 13,000 individuals, handed out over 21,000 meals, given athletic scholarships to over 15 youth, provided back-to-school supplies to more than 350 youth, and distributed over 14,000 doses of Narcan resulting in more than 175 reported reversals.
Recognized as subject matter experts in peer work and recovery support services, SFWN embodies a culture of empowerment and resilience by offering a wide range of services that include support groups, peer support, recovery navigation, education, advocacy and community outreach.
