Broward Sheriff Scott Israel Gets Another Democrat Opponent

Sgt. Willie Jones

By RedBroward, Special to SouthFloridaReporter.com, June 18, 2015 – On Tuesday, Broward Sheriff Scott Israel picked up another Democrat challenger when Willie Jones of Coconut Creek filed his campaign paperwork. Jones is the second Democrat running against Israel. “Mystery Man” Edison Jules of Ohio/NY/Florida entered the race last month.

Last January, the Westside Gazette published a glowing review of Jones’ retirement from the Broward Sheriff’s Office. ” Citations, proclamations and reflections were heartfelt and varied, coming from dignitaries such as former Pompano Beach Commissioner Woodrow Poitier, Pompano Beach Mayor Lamar Smith….We joined them in saluting an exemplary man who performed an often difficult profession in exemplary fashion.”

Wonder if they served salami sandwiches of chicken cacciatore at Jones’ retirement party?
