President Biden is set to deliver a speech Wednesday about his decision to end his reelection campaign, according to people familiar with the plans who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share timing that has not been publicly announced. Biden announced he was stepping aside Sunday in a letter to Americans, promising he would “speak to the Nation later this week in more detail about my decision.” Biden quickly endorsed Vice President Harris to replace him as the Democratic presidential nominee. Harris, having secured pledges of support from a majority of Democratic National Convention delegates to be the party’s presidential nominee, is heading to the battleground state of Wisconsin for a rally Tuesday.
