But it will feel at least 10 degrees hotter, so stay hydrated and out of the sun.
Tuesday will bring mostly sunny skies alternating with showers and storms in the East Coast metro area. The Gulf Coast will see a mix of sun and clouds in the morning, followed by plenty of showers and storms in the afternoon and early evening. Tuesday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Wednesday will feature more clouds than sun and plenty of showers and storms in the East Coast metro area and the Keys. The Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny with periods of showers and storms that will peak from the mid-afternoon to the early evening. Wednesday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Thursday will see a mix of sun and clouds alternating with periods of showers and storms on the mainland. Look for plenty of clouds, showers, and storms in the Keys. Thursday’s highs will be near 90 degrees in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the low 90s along the Gulf Coast.
Friday’s forecast calls for some sun, more clouds, and periods of showers and storms. Highs on Friday will be near 90 degrees.
The tropical Atlantic remains quiet — unusual for late August. Let’s hope it lasts a bit longer.
