The Smokey and the Bandit star, who’s 79, recently sold his Hobe Sound home for $3.3 million earlier this month then used $150,000 from the proceeds to pay off the lien that WKRP in Cincinnati hottie Anderson still had on the property.
The lien was a part of the divorce settlement reached in 1998!
Way to tie up loose ends: Sell house, check; clear up the divorce from the 1990’s, check!
The 1980s power couple became the toast of the Jupiter area when they married in 1988 but split in 1993.
It then took FIVE YEARS in court to finalize the divorce in what’s often considered one of the nastiest battles in Hollywood history.
Loni claimed Reynolds beat her while he said she cheated on him and was a bad mother to their son,Quinton.
In the end, Reynolds paid her $2 million in alimony and marital distribution, plus $15,000 a month in child support.
In time, the divorce and a series of bad investments caused Reynolds’ bankruptcy.
