Millions of bottles of eye drops have been recalled over concerns that they may not be sterile, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced earlier this week. On March 3, K.C. Pharmaceuticals, Inc. voluntarily recalled more than three million eye drop products sold under various brand names and distributed to stores like Walgreens, CVS, and Kroger nationwide.
In its notice, the FDA designated the recall as “Class II,” meaning the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.
