At 2 pm Sunday, Dorian’s maximum sustained winds were 185 miles per hour, making it one of the most intense hurricanes in the Atlantic basin since continuous records began in 1851. Dorian was located near 26.5 North, 77.1 West, over Great Abaco Island. That is also about 185 miles east of West Palm Beach. Dorian is moving due west at 7 miles per hour.
U.S. watches and warnings remain unchanged from the 11 am Sunday advisory.
