Early Gulf Coast Fog, Then Sunny Skies

Sunday features early fog along the Gulf coast and in the interior.  The day will be mostly sunny and warm around South Florida, followed by some evening showers.  Sunday’s highs will be mainly in the mid-80s on the East Coast and in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Monday will bring plenty of clouds and periods of showers to the mainland.  The Keys see more clouds than sun, periods of showers, and maybe a storm.  Monday’s highs will be mainly in the low-80s on the East Coast, in the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast, and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Tuesday will feature a cool morning, with lows in the low- to mid-60s on the mainland.  The East Coast will see a mix of sun and clouds, with some afternoon showers.  The Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny, while the Keys will see clouds and showers.  Tuesday’s highs will be mainly in the upper-70s.

Wednesday will start with another cool morning, with lows in the low- to mid-60s on the mainland.  The day will be mostly sunny on the mainland, but the East Coast metro area will also see a few afternoon showers.  Look for plenty of clouds and a few showers in the Keys.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper-70s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast.

Faith Based Events

Thursday’s forecast calls for morning lows in the upper-50s to mid-60s on the mainland, followed by lots of sun and a few clouds.  Highs on Thursday will be in the upper 70s in the East Coast and the Keys and in the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
