
Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day features seasonably pleasant morning lows near 70 degrees on the mainland, followed by lots of sun and a few clouds at times. A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains along the Palm Beach County coast, and there’s a moderate rip current risk at the beaches of Broward and Miami-Dade. Highs on Monday will be in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the upper 80s along the Gulf Coast.
Tuesday will bring plenty of sun and a few clouds at times. Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches. Tuesday’s highs will be in the mid-80s.
Wednesday will be another day with lots of sun and a few clouds. Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid-80s.
Thursday will feature a mix of sun and clouds around South Florida, but the east coast metro area could see a shower or two in spots. Thursday’s highs will be in the mid-80s.
Friday’s forecast calls for a sunny day on the mainland. Look for a mix of sun, clouds, and showers in the Keys. Highs on Friday will be in the mid-80s again.
In the tropics, we’re keeping an eye on a wave in the eastern Atlantic that could become a depression in the next couple of days. But it’s moving generally to the northwest, and computer models forecast it to remain in open waters.
