St. Patrick’s Day features some sun and a mix of clouds and showers on a gusty breeze.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches.  Highs on Monday will be mostly in the upper-70s in the East Coast metro area, in the low-70s along the Gulf Coast, and the mid-70s in the Keys.

Tuesday morning will be chilly, with lows in the low to mid-50s on the mainland and the low-60s in the Keys.  The day will be sunny with a cool breeze.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the upper-70s on the mainland and the low-70s in the Keys.

Wednesday will feature another chilly start, with lows in the mid to upper-50s on the mainland.  Then look for lots of sun.  Wednesday’s highs will be mostly in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area, in the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast, and the mid-70s in the Keys.

Thursday morning will be quite cool, with lows in the low-60s on the mainland.  Then we’ll see plenty of sun and a few clouds as a weak front moves through.  Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area, the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast, and the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Friday’s forecast calls for a chilly start, with lows in the mid to upper-50s on the mainland.  The day will be sunny but cool for late March.  Highs on Friday will be in the mid-70s on the mainland and the low-70s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
