Saturday features periods of showers and storms with a bit of sun at times. Saturday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.
Sunday will bring more periods of sun, but showers and storms will also move through. Highs on Sunday will be in the upper 80s.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Maria is moving slowly to the east of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. At 5 am Wednesday, Maria was located near 35.1 North, 72.9 West, and was moving north at 5 miles per hour. Maximum sustained winds were 70 miles per hour. And Hurricane Lee is hanging around in the central Atlantic. At 5 am Wednesday, Lee was located near 30.2 North, 56.3 West, and was moving west-northwest at 9 miles per hour. Lee’s top winds were 110 miles per hour, but it’s no threat to land.
