Warm With Afternoon Storms For Memorial Day

South Florida will be warm with afternoon storms on Memorial Day. After a few early showers, the day features sun, clouds, some afternoon storms (especially inland) and highs in the upper 80s.

Afternoon StormsTuesday will bring a few early showers in spots, sun and clouds, mostly inland afternoon storms, and highs in the upper 80s. Rain chances are lower on Wednesday, and highs will again be in the upper 80s.

The chances of showers and storms increase on Thursday and Friday, and highs will near the 90 degree mark.

Afternoon StormsTropical Depression Bonnie continues to bring flooding rains to the Carolina coast. As of 5 am on Monday, Bonnie was located near 33.0 North, 79.5 West, and was creeping to the northeast at 3 miles per hour. Maximum sustained winds were 30 miles per hour, and Bonnie is not expected to strengthen as it slowly tracks near the coast of the Carolinas. Heavy rains are the major threat from this system, and flooding is possible in parts of the Mid-Atlantic coast.[/vc_column_text][vc_message message_box_style=”3d” message_box_color=”turquoise”]By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, May 30, 2016[/vc_message][/vc_column][/vc_row]
