South Florida will enjoy a not-so-rainy Sunday, but showers and storms will be back in force during the days ahead. In the meantime, look for good sun, clouds at times, and a few afternoon showers or storms (mostly along the Gulf coast or in the interior). Highs on Sunday will be in the low 90s, but it will feel about 10 degrees hotter.
Monday will mark a return to more widespread showers and storms throughout the area, especially in the afternoon. Monday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with widespread passing showers and storms. Tuesday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.
Wednesday will be another day with some sun, clouds, and periods of showers and storms. Wednesday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.
Look for plenty of showers and some periods of sun on Thursday. Highs on Thursday will be mostly in the upper 80s.
In the tropics, the area of showers and storms we’ve been watching is now centered off the southeast U.S. coast, but it’s still bringing rain to portions of northern Florida. The National Hurricane Center gives this feature a low chance of becoming a depression during the next few days.
