Pinecrest, Fla. – Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay are once again partnering for a fun day of community to help in the fight against cancer during the 7th Annual Relay for Life event. More than $700,000 has been raised by these communities in the past seven years.
The event is on Saturday, March 18th from 12:00 noon to 11:00 p.m. at Coral Reef Park at 7895 SW 152nd Street. In collaboration with the American Cancer Society and the municipalities, the Relay for Life committee is building and planning for a fantastic day of bounce houses, food and games. Schools, cheerleaders, and bands will entertain you throughout the day, so find your favorite group and cheer them on.
The event will have a carnival theme with colorful booths, food, games, and opportunities to learn how to make a difference in the fight against cancer. There will be a special tent to honor cancer survivors and those still fighting. Event highlights include:
- 5:45 p.m. – Celebration for Survivors
- 8:00 p.m. – Luminaria ceremony with hundreds of lit luminaria
- 9:00 p.m. – Relay Karaoke
