    Prince Tribute Show, “Purple Reign,” Comes to Hard Rock Event Center at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Saturday, Aug. 25, at 8 p.m.

    HOLLYWOOD, Fla.  The award-winning Prince tribute show, “Purple Reign,” featuring Jason Tenner as Prince comes to Hard Rock Event Center at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Saturday, Aug. 25, at 8 p.m.

    “Purple Reign” captures the imagination and seamlessly recreates the blistering performances and raw energy of Prince in his prime, and highlights the era that made him an international superstar. The show also features a tribute to Morris Day and The Time, a group composed of close Prince associates from the Minneapolis area. The group helped to form the Minneapolis sound, mixing rock and roll and funk with soul and dance music.

    “Purple Reign” was the first tribute/impersonator act to appear as the musical guest on “Late Show with David Letterman” and was also chosen to rerun during the coveted New Year’s Eve slot in 2009. In 2009, “Purple Reign” was named Best Tribute Act by the 28th Annual Las Vegas Review-Journal Poll, and in 2014 was awarded the Best Impersonator Award by the same publication. The tribute show also opened the third season of “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” on AXS TV.
