Leadership Broward Profiles in Leadership Black-Tie Ball

Leadership Broward celebrates an amazing group of South Florida leaders – including top executives in worlds of nonprofit, business, healthcare, hospitality and sports – at its 2019 Profiles in Leadership Black-Tie Ball.

This year’s Black-Tie Ball, themed “Evening on the Nile,” takes place on Saturday, October 5 at 6:30 p.m. at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, presenting sponsor for the Black-Tie Ball.

2019 Profiles in Leadership honorees include a who’s who of Broward County: Kathleen Cannon, LCSW, president and CEO of United Way Broward County; Aurelio M. Fernandez III, FACHE, president and CEO of Memorial Healthcare System; Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises; and O.J. McDuffie, former first-team All-American and NFL player. Special awards this year go to: JetBlue for Excellence in Corporate Leadership; and Sherry Friedlander, founder of A Child Is Missing, Inc., for Lifetime Achievement. [See more pictures below]

“Each year, we honor leaders in Broward County who stand out in their professional lives, go above and beyond by serving our community and who exemplify leadership at its best. We’re proud to honor this esteemed group of leaders as they join a distinguished list of Broward’s best at our annual gala event,” said Michael Berry, vice president of events for Leadership Broward’s board.

The Profiles in Leadership Black-Tie Ball, this year emceed by NBC6 anchor Kristin Sanchez, is Leadership Broward’s signature fundraising gala, well known for its beautiful décor, top-notch gourmet dinner, over-the-top live and silent auctions, exciting entertainment and elegant after party.
