The Republican Club of Indian River and Friends of Donald J. Trump for President have announced they will present a Trump Volunteer Rally on Tuesday, May 31st, according to club president, Frank Sosta.
While many prominent Republicans – including Speaker of the House Paul Ryan – have yet to endorse Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, the bulk of the party seems to be falling into place. On Thursday, the Associated Press declared that Trump had won 1,238 delegates, enough to claim the Republican nomination outright.
“We are thrilled to hold the first of many exciting community events to share our support for Donald J. Trump,” Frank J. Sosta, Jr., President of The Republican Club of Indian River, told South Florida Reporter. “It’s the perfect opportunity for people to come out to meet fellow Indian River County residents and share their support of Trump for President.”
A recent Fox News poll indicated that 82% of Republicans supported Donald Trump, while the latest Real Clear Politics poll shows Trump has caught up with Hillary Clinton in head-to-head polling. The general election is expected to be closer than previously anticipated.
The Trump Volunteer Rally will be held Tuesday, May 31st at the Vero Beach Elks Lodge, 1350 26th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and plenty of free parking is available.
“I’m excited that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for President,” Gary Burdsall, Chairman of the Friends of Donald J. Trump for President – Indian River County, told South Florida Reporter. “Now that he has secured 1,238 delegates, Trump is well on his way to beating Hillary Clinton in November.”
Various volunteer opportunities will be presented and upcoming Indian River County events will be discussed. Volunteer sign-up sheets will be available. Previous experience is not required. The event is free to attend and dress is casual. Plan on attending the rally, volunteer, meet new friends and have a great time.
“We have to win the White House in November,” Governor Rick Scott told South Florida Reporter. “If we want a President that’s going to defend the Second Amendment, focus on jobs, the Supreme Court and rebuilding the military, then we must get behind Donald Trump today.”
