Strong Storms Develop Today Could Become Severe

strong storms

strong stormsSouth Florida will see strong storms develop today as tropical moisture moves in. After a muggy start, Wednesday will bring some sun, building clouds, and showers and storms in the afternoon and evening. Expect strong storms at times, with heavy rain, gusty winds, and dangerous lightning. Severe storms are possible, with damaging winds, large hail, and even an isolated tornado. Highs on Wednesday will be in the humid low 90s.

Showers and storms will linger overnight, and we’ll see some sun, more clouds, and additional showers and storms during the day on Thursday. Highs on Thursday will be in the upper 80s.

Look for clouds, showers, and a few storms on Friday. Friday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.

We’ll see more sun and fewer clouds on Saturday, and showers and storms will be mostly inland as the sea breeze develops in the afternoon. Highs on Saturday will be near 90 degrees.

Sunday will bring more of the same — a mix of sun and clouds, with afternoon showers and storms developing on the sea breeze. Highs on Sunday will be near 90 degrees.
