Steve Checks The Slick Features On Buick’s New Convertible

Buick’s first convertible to grace our shores in 25 years drives into its second model year with the introduction of the new Sport Touring trim, with unique paint colors, new wheel design and other custom content such as sport pedals and a flat-bottom sport steering wheel.

Initially only offered in exclusive True Blue Metallic, Buick listened to customer requests and added this Sport Red paint with the new Dark Effects package, adding a heavy dose of black to the exterior and interior trim.

MSRP of this 2017 Buick Cascada Sport Touring is $37,990.

It uses an insulated soft-top that opens in 17 seconds at speeds up to 31mph and stows neatly beneath a hard tonneau cover.  Its 2+2 configuration and space saving semi-independent rear suspension mean the Cascada can accommodate 4 adults with greater rear-seat legroom and still offer a generous trunk.  The rear seats also fold down electronically for carrying longer items.

It gets its power from a 1.6-liter turbo 4 making 200 horsepower backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels.  GM’s acclaimed HiPer Strut suspension is used to improve ride and handling characteristics, delivering linear and communicative steering.  Fuel economy is rated at 20mpg city/27mpg highway.
