Flush with the first payments from his brand spanking new four-year, $98 million-contract with the Miami Heat, center Hassan Whiteside is finally planting expensive roots in the area.

Whiteside, who’s about to start his third season with the Heat, plunked down $7.3 million this week for a mansion in Miami Beach.

The seven-footer found his dream house at 528 Lakeview Court, on a property with a dock on Surprise Lake.

“It’s modern and young and it’s waterfront,” said realtor Barbara Lamar, who represented the seller. “It symbolizes everything that Miami Beach is about. It’s a fun house that fits into a tropical environment.”

The sale closed Aug. 31 and has yet to be posted on public records.

But Lamar confirmed that Whiteside was indeed the buyer.

“Everybody involved in this transaction couldn’t have been more lovely,” she said.

She didn’t identify the seller behind the corporate name Venetian Coast LLC.

The modern, sleek-lined crib across the water from the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and the Eden Roc, has plenty of space for a ball player.

For one thing, it’s got six bedrooms, including one only accessible by a walkway and another for the live-in help.

And it’s got very high ceilings, Lamar pointed out.

The house was on the market on and off for more than a year. At one point, it was listed for $13 million according to The Real Deal.

Whiteside, meanwhile, is preparing for the Heat’s first season without Dwyane Wade. He landed in Miami after basketball stopovers in exotic locales like Lebanon and Jiangsu, China.
