The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show kicked off with a bang this week.
Miami Beach internet marketers J.R. and Loren Ridinger announced through a New York public relations agency that they bought a behemoth of a yacht from Italian boat show exhibitor Rossinavi.
The society couple and founders of Market America said they made boat yard’s Vector yacht, which is still under construction, their most expensive purchase on water yet.
The sleek, futuristic ship boasts 203.41 feet of sheer luxury that, at times, is reminiscent of a minimalistic Miami Beach art deco interior.
The ship has a master suite with a private Jacuzzi as well five other guest staterooms, two outdoor swimming pools and a terrace that offers panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling windows.
For you boaters, this puppy can cruise comfortably at speeds of 15 to 28 knots thanks to four, 2,600-horsepower Rolls-Royce engines.
Yep, four: Think tri-deck motoryacht with cigarette boat handling!
Ever the humble ones, the Ridingers didn’t want to say how much they paid. But this much is known about Rossinavi yachts: They have a 158-footer on sale right now for $27 million.
The Ridingers expect delivery of their new yacht early 2018.
In a statement, JR said the vessel will be “ideally suited for shallow water navigation needed around Miami Beach, where she’ll live.”
