DAVIE, FL – Taylor Gang, a principal at Evensky & Katz / Foldes Financial Wealth Management, has been selected to lead Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida’s Board of Directors during its 2015-16 fiscal year.
Gang joined the Make-A-Wish board in 2010 and has served on the Executive and Finance/Investment committees for the past five years. He is a Cornerstone Society member and grants more than 20 wishes each year to children who have life-threatening medical conditions as a donor, volunteer wish granter, and foundation representative. Gang succeeds Todd Linden, under whose leadership the<a=”>nonprofit organization granted more than 550 local wishes last year.
“I’m humbled by the opportunity to lead such an impactful organization and focused on utilizing every day of my term as board chair to make a difference for the children we serve,” said Gang, a Miami resident.
Shareef Malnik (The Forge), Jodi Siravo (Norwegian Cruise Line), and Bob Press (TCA Fund Management Group) join Gang as officers of the board for the coming year.

Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has granted more than 10,000 wishes to children who have life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Wish kids most often ‘wish to be’ (something), ‘wish to meet’ (someone), ‘wish to go’ (somewhere), or ‘wish to have’ (something) and the nonprofit organization makes this happen for the child and his/her entire family at no cost to them.
The Southern Florida chapter, which includes 13 Florida counties and the U.S. Virgin Islands, grants a wish every 16 hours, at an average cost of $5,000. It completes its mission without
federal or state funding, raising money through corporate sponsorships, special events, foundation grants, and individual contributions.
