Taste Of The Nation Event to Feature New “Chefs on a Half Shell” After Party

(Miami, FL) – Now in its 27th year, Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation® South Florida, is gearing up for another banner event. This year, the region’s premier culinary benefit dedicated to ending childhood hunger, will showcase close to 50 of the hottest restaurants from both Dade and Broward counties, top chefs, sommeliers, mixologists and brewers. The South Beach Chic – Food, Wine & Art-themed benefit will also feature silent and live auctions, an interactive art display showcasing local artists and abeer garden co-curated by Miami Herald food editor Evan Benn and Chef Bret Pelaggi.

This year’s exclusive Taste of the Nation “Chefs on a Half Shell” after party will feature oyster creations from host restaurant Lure Fishbar as well as The Dutch at W South Beach, Devon Seafood + Steak and Aaron’s Catering. The annual tasting event will take place onThursday, July 16, 2015 from 7PM to 10PM, at Loews Miami Beach, followed by the after party from 10PM to Midnight. General admission tickets are priced at $125 per person. VIP tickets are priced at $250 per person and provide access to the event an hour before the doors open, as well as admission to the after party.

After the party comes the after party – “Chefs on a Half Shell” – hosted by Chef Josh Capon and Chef de Cuisine John Iatrellis at Lure Fishbar at Loews Miami Beach Hotel.  Taking place from 10PM to Midnight, the soirée will feature bottomless champagne and ample oysters dressed by the city’s culinary pearls Conor Hanlon of The Dutch at The W South Beach Hotel and Residences, Rod Chitikov of Devon Seafood + Steak and Aaron Dreilinger of Aaron’s Catering. Taste of the Nation South Florida VIP ticket holders will enjoy complimentary access to the after party.
